I expect the offense to get going, but I’m not so sure they’ve actually been that unlucky. Their line drive percentage of 19.3 percent ranks 22nd in baseball, and their BABIP of .300 is probably about where it should be. Their soft contact rate is sixth highest in baseball, and their hard contact rate is fourth lowest.

The offense doesn’t really concern me yet, but they’ve come by their lack of scoring pretty honestly.

I agree that it’s a bit crazy to think a 2 game losing streak is the end of the Royals’ season. I honestly hadn’t even considered the Royals strikeouts being a problem at this point, I knew the offense hasn’t been getting it done, but they seem to be hitting a ton of balls right at guys. I expect the offense to pick up again in the very near future.
