Also he’s bunting so much that the element of surprise isn’t there which severely decreases the effectiveness of the play.

Mondesi is truly one of the most talented players the Royals have had in the GMDM era but the hit tool needs to come forward. Bring in Ibanez and give him the same swing retooling that he, JD Martinez and recently Lane Adams went through would be my idea.

I also agree on Mondesi. Even if he lost track of how many out there were, he needs to work on driving the ball in AAA. The reason he is in Omaha is he has no hit tool right now. He needs to develop that.

That should have never happened. I disagree about bunting in general, though. It’s a legitimate sacrifice and there’s a place for it. Obviously, Mondesi didn’t employ it wisely.
