Which means that on the at bats that didn’t end on the 3-0 pitch, but the count did reach 3-0 in the plate appearance, they’ve hit .246/.535/.410.

By comparison, the AL has hit .284/.724/.524 on all 3-0 at bats and .270/.567/.482 in the at bats that reached 3-0, but didn’t end on that pitch.

Something for agents to consider as we head into a winter of discontent. I have always wondered if Ned’s coddling these guys is part of the secret to his success with them. Will new managers/teams do the same? Maybe a reason for these guys to consider staying with Royals. And can poor Esky get a day off? Another part of the Nedly magic I guess.
