Now sign Greg Holland to another one-and-done and KC looks like a legit contender.

In my opinion, there are currently only 7 legitimately contending teams in the AL, KC makes 8 — for 5 playoff spots (Bos, NYY, Cle, Min, Hou, LAA, Sea).

The following teams are either tanking/rebuilding or at the least did not try very hard to get better this winter: TB, Tor, Balt, ChiW, Det, Tex, Oak.
